OUR FARM

OUR FARM

We live in the hills of the Exmoor National Park where we breed our own alpacas to make our high-quality EKO|ALPAKA yarns. Our mission is to redefine fashion using alpaca to create sustainable luxury products that have a circular life cycle.

Our journey into the world of alpacas started 14 years ago.

We have been farming alpacas and designing products since 2008. Our focus is on sustainability - starting with our farm and ending up with the textiles and garments we make. Our fields and paddocks are free from chemicals and pesticides and most importantly we adopt a strict rotation of fields to ensure regrowth of grass. Regenerative farming is at the core of our land management.

Maintaining high quality genetics that reflect the environment in which our Alpaca live contributes to high quality fibre. The Alpaca on our farm enjoy shelter from our wet climate in barns as a necessity and every night as a matter of routine. They are fed exclusively on the grass and hay from our fields and special mineral supplements.

Our Design Studio

Our artisan design studio is located  on  our farm.

We have a resident knitwear technician and linking specialist to programme and make EKOALPAKA garments.  We offer a diverse service to designers, students, shop owners and breeders who wish to have their own bespoke cloth or custom-made knitwear or textile garments.

We are not fast fashion. We do not make thousands of items. Everything we make takes time and is carefully made and hand finished.
